Tips

Tips for better short-form scripts

  • Open with the hook

The first few seconds decide whether people keep watching. Lead with a bold claim, a question or something unexpected.

  • Keep the pacing tight

Short, punchy sentences read well as voiceover. Vary sentence length so the energy doesn’t flatten out.

  • Ask for one thing

End with a single clear action — follow, save, comment or share. Asking for everything at once dilutes it.

Can AI write good scripts for TikTok, Reels and Shorts?

AI is a fast way to get a structured first draft: a hook, a body and a call to action in the tone you pick. Treat the result as a starting point — check any facts, add your own angle and edit it until it sounds right before you record or publish.

What makes a good short-form video script?

Three parts: a hook that earns the first few seconds, a body that delivers one idea with frequent changes of pace, and a call to action that asks for one thing (a follow, save, comment or share). This generator drafts all three for you.

How long should a short-form script be?

Narration usually runs at around 150 words a minute, so a 30-second video needs roughly 75 words and a 60-second video roughly 150 — less if you leave room for pauses. Short scripts suit simple hooks and trends; longer ones suit explainers and stories.

Is the script generator free?

Yes, there is no sign-up. AI scripts are limited to a few per hour; if the AI writer is busy or you reach the limit, the tool builds a script from a template instead and tells you so.

Can ReelForge turn a script into a finished video?

Yes. In ReelForge you start from a niche or topic, review and edit the script, and ReelForge adds a natural AI voiceover, visuals for each scene, captions timed to the voiceover and music, then exports a vertical 9:16 video. Explorer is free with 3 videos every month and no credit card.
